Gram's Recipes - Strawberry Shortcake

Strawberry Shortcake

2 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup margarine
1 egg (beaten)
1/3 cup milk

Mix dry ingredients & margarine. Texture will look like cornmeal. Mix in egg, then milk. Put in pan. Bake 20 minutes at 350 deg.

(This is about the same as bisquit dough - quite firm - has to be pressed in pan. Can be made in muffin tins also.)
